Sweet 16...

Exactly a mouth from today I will turn 17!!  Gulp!!  Where did a whole year go?? I loved being sweet 16 and I would be sweet 16 forever if I was allowed. When did I grow up on myself?? It used to take forever from one birthday to the next. How did this year go so fast??
     Upon informing my mother of my starling realization she gasped "It seems like you just turned 16!! Are you ready for this?? My, having a 17 year old seems so old!!" 
It does seem like I just turned 16 and then I turn around and look at all the things I've done in this last year. The places I've been, the things that have happened and how I've changed. And I smile and whisper to myself...."it's been a sweet 16!!"   All those moments melting together to make 1 sweet year in my life.
